Four years ago, Civant Skin Care embarked on a business plan to develop their most powerful skin lightening product. Not only was this formula meant to be effective, but also safe for normal use. Though the idea was simple enough, the research and development to create such a product was surprisingly extensive. Every possible factor was considered in creating Meladerm®. What ingredients should be used? How should they be applied? Even minute factors like, what kind of container will keep the ingredients fresh and active. The new Meladerm® formula incorporates the industry's latest research and after four years of tests and trials, it is finally available for the public.

Civant Skin Care puts your safety above anything else. Their products contain absolutely no hydroquinone, mercury, steroids or other harmful skin bleaching substances. In order to naturally fade dark skin spots and obtain an even complexion, you must dedicate time and patience to the process. The Meladerm® products provide initial results within 2 weeks of use. Full results generally take 2-3 months and vary based on the individual's specific needs and skin condition.

I have melasma and I have used products with hydroquinone and I even endured painful laser treatments, which in the end made my melasma worse. After the treatment my entire face was now much darker than the rest of my body. I had almost given up when I came across Meladerm. At first I was very skeptical and I figured I would try it since they offered a money back guarantee. It has only been 2 weeks and I see an incredible difference; at least two shades lighter. I can wait to see the final results in the next couple of months. I will continue using this product and I am very grateful I found it. - Adriana

What is it used for?

Meladerm® is generally used to reduce the appearance of hyperpigmented skin on the body or face. Many customers use the product to achieve a uniform skin tone by lightening the appearance of uneven areas and dark spots. The product can also be used to brighten the overall complexion by lightening the appearance of sun damaged skin.

What makes Meladerm® so unique?

There are hundreds of skin lightening products already on the market. You may even see skin lighteners that contain the same active ingredients as Meladerm®. So what makes the Meladerm® formula so unique? Simply put, research!

Though a low grade skin whitening product might contain similar ingredients, it doesn't guarantee its effectiveness. In order to harness the true power of the active ingredients, great care must be taken when manufacturing the product. Light and air can easily deteriorate substances like Kojic Acid. Other ingredients must be carefully stored in vacuum desiccators in order to preserve their shelf life. Furthermore, the Civant team takes great effort to micronize and filter all of our active ingredients and extracts for superior efficiency. Most skin lightening product manufacturers do not take these precautions.

When creating a skin lightening product, the base ingredients are just as important as the active ones. It is important to choose proper carriers and liposomes to ensure that the active ingredients are absorbed deeply into the skin. It is also wise to include effective preservatives and moisturizers to ensure minimal skin irritation. Meladerm® contains the highest concentrations of active ingredients tolerated by the skin. The use of special base ingredients and high quality actives is what brings out the true effectiveness of the formula and sets us apart from other manufacturers.

How does Meladerm® work?

Your skin color comes from a natural pigment called melanin. Melanin pigment is synthesized in specialized cytoplasmic organelles called melanosomes Within the melanosome, the enzymatic conversion of the amino acid tyrosine to melanin is catalyzed by the enzyme tyrosinase. The melanosomes in darker portions of the skin are more active than those found in normal areas of the body. Ideally, it is best to target this process in multiple ways by dealing with not only the melanosomes, but also the enzyme tyrosinase. And with the help of exfoliation agents, the initial effects of the complex can be seen within 2 weeks.
